The meeting focused on assessing the progress, identifying challenges and enhancing the coordination among various departments and stakeholders under the PM Gati Shakti initiative. The Chief Secretary said that PM Gati Shakti aims to revolutionise the infrastructure development by breaking departmental silos and ensuring synchronised planning among the multiple agencies. He emphasised that the initiative aligns with the vision of ‘One Nation, One Master Plan’, aiming to reduce logistics costs, improve multi-modal connectivity and enable last-mile infrastructure access across the Union Territory. The meeting was informed that 624 individual data layers have been integrated making J&K one of the top 3 performing states/UTs. It was added that 39 UT departments have been onboarded on the Gati Shakti portal. Besides, 50 strategic projects valued at over Rs. 3,000 crore have been deliberated through 16 TSU and NPG meetings.
